About

We want to help you build your own dream sauna

Why trust us?

We’ve gained our experience by saying “why not?” Why can’t we build that ourselves? Why can’t we teach ourselves framing, drafting, and creating blueprints? Hours of research, some blood (be careful cutting your metal roofing) and in the case of the sauna, plenty of sweat, have helped us grow this mindset and approach. It’s also given us the knowledge to share with you, helping you get a kickass sauna built that will be so much better than a kit, and so much cheaper than it would be to have someone build it for you.

We’ve put in the work so you can focus on the fun parts. We’ve build beautiful saunas and put in the work to learn the best ways to do just that. And more than anything, we’re just like you are. While we’ve worked some construction jobs in the past, we’re not professional builders, we’re professional DIYers. From off-grid cabins to at-home saunas, we’ve made plenty of mistakes so you don’t have to.

Our builds

“The off-grid spa”

This sauna sits on the hillside of an off-grid property in Washington state. Being off-grid, it uses a wood-burning Harvia Linear 16 stove to easily reach temperatures above 200 degress. It has a 7’x8’ footprint with the single-pitch roof sloping between an 8’6” wall and a 7’6” wall. An outdoor shower has been added for rinsing off and bathing.

Back deck electric sauna

This is not the exact same sauna as our plans detail, but it was certainly an inspiration. After deciding that a hot tub was too much ongoing maintenance, we built a sauna to take its place.

Off grid cabin

While it’s not a sauna, this cabin build taught us so much about architecture, drawing and designing our own plans, and countless lessons in construction. From framing to finishes, every bit of this cabin was built by us. Plus, it’s on the same property as the sauna.
